A Life Lived on Your Own Terms

A quiet, sunlit courtyard with a single wooden chair

We spend much of our lives collecting roles, responsibilities and badges — the things that tell us who we are and what is expected of us.

But somewhere along the way, an important question can get lost:

Am I living the life I truly want to live, or simply the life I have been expected to live?

Coming Home to Yourself is about discovering the person beneath the roles and expectations, understanding what really matters to you, and having the courage to make intentional choices about how you want to live.

Living on your own terms doesn't mean doing whatever you want. It means knowing yourself well enough to make conscious choices that are true to your values — choices that can lead to a life that is authentic, fulfilling and meaningful.

Through books, communities and experiences, Coming Home to Yourself helps you explore who you are, decide what matters, and turn those choices into the way you actually live — wherever you are and whatever season of life you are in.

You don't need to become someone else.

You need to remember who you are.

The Journey Through Life

Every life has seasons

We don't remain the same person throughout our lives. Our circumstances change. Our priorities change. Our relationships change. And sometimes the identities that once gave us certainty begin to loosen. Each season brings its own questions — and its own opportunity to discover more of who we are.

Season 1
Discovery

The first season is one of discovery. We learn. We explore. We experiment. We ask questions and begin discovering who we are and how we relate to the world around us. We discover our strengths, our interests and the people and experiences that shape us. Curiosity is our greatest gift. The purpose of this season isn't certainty. It's openness — learning to see the world, and ourselves, with wonder.

Season 2
Building

Gradually, life invites us to build. Relationships deepen. Families begin. Careers develop. Homes are created. Communities become important. Responsibility increases. This is often the busiest season of life. We invest ourselves in people, work and projects that matter, building not only a life around us, but also the character, resilience and experience that will shape the seasons still to come. We discover both the joy and the weight of commitment.

Season 3
Contribution

Eventually our experience becomes something worth offering. We lead. We mentor. We create. We serve. Our influence extends beyond ourselves. Contribution isn't measured by titles — some of the greatest contributors never lead large organisations. They simply leave every place, and every person, better than they found them. This season asks: How can my experience become someone else's opportunity?

Season 4
Choices

The final, or Fourth Season of life is often misunderstood. Our culture tends to describe it with a single word: retirement. We believe that word is far too small. It describes what we may be retiring from, but says very little about what we're now free to retire to. This season isn't defined by leaving work behind. It's defined by something far more significant. It's the season of choices.
